Tate McRae unveils TATE 01, her first fragrance, a floral woody scent created with Givaudan that evolves differently on every wearer.

Tate McRae is expanding her creative universe and taking one of her first major steps into the beauty industry. The singer has unveiled TATE 01, her debut fragrance, an Eau de Parfum designed to melt into the skin and become an almost invisible extension of the person wearing it.

To develop the fragrance, McRae worked alongside the master perfumers at Givaudan, creating a floral woody composition built around a velvety woody amber note. Its distinctive quality lies in the way it reacts with each person’s skin, creating subtle variations as the hours pass.

The intention was to create something intimate and effortless to wear, moving away from fragrances that end up overpowering the person wearing them. For McRae, fragrance is precisely the finishing touch in her personal routine.

“In my beauty routine, fragrance is that final invisible layer that elevates my entire mood,” the artist explains. “With TATE 01, I set out to craft a scent that feels entirely second-skin: effortless, subtly edgy, and perfectly you. It melts in so gracefully that it never wears you, it just enhances who you already are.”

The composition opens with a luminous combination of bergamot and clary sage, two notes that bring freshness from the very first moments. This gradually gives way to a more floral heart, where orange flower and hedione come together, the latter known for its light and radiant character.

The fragrance eventually settles into a warmer, more sensual base. Here, McRae’s signature aura accord emerges alongside sensual moss and creamy tonka bean, bringing depth and softness to the overall composition.
