Future ‘Twilight’ Series Confirmed

The entertainment company Lionsgate TV will be in charge of developing this serial adaptation of the famous‘Twilight‘ vampire movies.

The 2008 hit vampire and werewolf franchise, ‘Twilight‘, is set for a series adaptation at Lionsgate TV. This entertainment company will be in charge of bringing to life again the split between Edward Cullen(Robert Pattinson) and Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner).

The news portal Variety has confirmed that the series will be based on Stephanie Meyers’ young adult novels of the same name. Previously adapted into a successful film series starring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, the show currently has no writer or streaming service attached to the project. According to sources close to the project, Wyck Godfrey and Erik Feige are joining the series as executive producers.

The original film franchise, known as “The Twilight Saga,” includes five films, released between 2008 and 2012. As for the books, there were originally four ‘Twilight’ books that were published between 2005 and 2008. Later, Meyers published another book titled, ‘Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined‘ in 2015, swapping the gender of the two main characters, Bella and Edward.

The news of the new ‘Twilight’ series arrives after Warner Bros. Discovery also announced that they will take the beloved ‘Harry Potter’ books and turn them into a series.
