It’s been a while since Normani brought us new music, but now she’s back, and she has let us see a little bit of her upcoming single, “Candy Paint”.
This has been possible thanks to the recording of a new ad for Bose that details her creative process in the recording studio. “I’m really excited to partner with Bose, especially as I enter this new chapter,” said Normani. “In terms of my career and my music, I know the wait has been long, but it’s definitely going to be worth it, and I feel like the partnership couldn’t have come at a better time.”
During the recording of the new single, Normani herself made a teasing comment about her work: “I really wanted to create a record that allowed me to showcase my personality. I feel like there’s a misconception; probably has everything to do with my social media. I think people think I’m so serious, which is the complete opposite [of me]. Anyone who really knows me knows I’m very funny. Silly! I love twerking. I’m just normal. I really wanted to create a record that encompasses that and allows my personality to shine. It’s a performance record first, which I know my fans have been waiting for, for a long time. It’s fun, energetic, bossy. It’s bold. It’s bold but assertive, and yes, I’m really excited to shoot the music video.”
