Is the Girl on Fire (Jennifer Lawrence) making a comeback in The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes?

Jennifer Lawrence incredibly portrayed Katniss Everdeen in the original film series.

Now that Rachel Zegler is taking the spotlight in the upcoming prequel, rumors are spreading like wildfire that Jennifer has a role to play, despite the film taking place decades before Katniss was born.

She addressed the whispers during a recent interview.

During Watch What Happens Live, host Andy Cohen mentioned a rumor that Jennifer was going to portray Katniss’s grandmother in the film.

She had a simple response: “No. That’s not true.”

She won’t be in the movie, but Rachel is already being compared to the actress thanks to a moment in the first trailer.

During the interview, Jennifer also admitted to taking “a lot” of props from the film set.

“I took a lot of things. But it also happens organically,” she explained. “I took the bow and arrow. I had to practice with the bow and arrow, so it became mine. It was in my trunk when we wrapped, so I drove home with it.”

While she kept the bow and arrow, they are not in her house in 2023. However, there are some memories from The Hunger Games there: “the boots from every movie.”
