Billie Eilish pays homage to Barbie in her Grammy 2024 performance, recreating the iconic doll’s style.
Billie Eilish maintained her focus during her Grammy 2024 performance. The “What Was I Made For” star paid homage to an iconic Barbie during her presentation. If you weren’t familiar with the 1995 Barbie Poodle before, thanks to Eilish, now you are.
The Vintage 1995 Poodle Parade Barbie is a limited edition doll, and Eilish recreated her outfit. The 22-year-old Grammy winner sported an olive green dress with a white and green patterned coat, a pink t-shirt, and a pink headscarf as she sang her hit single. She hinted at this look earlier on her Instagram today. The Barbie movie remains a gift that keeps on giving. With so many dolls in the Mattel universe, the number of tribute moments seems endless. Barbie has conquered the world, and this moment is another great addition to the long list of fashion moments we’ve received in recent months.

Before her performance, as she walked the red carpet, Eilish wore a vintage Chrome Hearts bomber jacket with a Barbie theme. The black jacket featured light pink sleeves, silver heart-shaped buttons, and Barbie embroidered in pink on the front. Eilish paired her jacket with a white shirt and black pants. Oversize is one of her favorite fashion choices, and we love to see it.
Beyond fashion, this was a big night for Billie Eilish. She and her brother Finneas took home the award for Best Song Written for Visual Media for the Barbie ballad “What Was I Made For?” The song also earned Eilish some other nominations, such as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Music Video. The “Happier Than Ever” singer was also nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Labrinth on “Never Felt So Alone,” but SZA and Phoebe Bridgers took home the win.
