Kelly Rowland will perform at the 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice, a charitable event supporting AIDS research.
The talented singer Kelly Rowland, winner of multiple Grammy awards, will perform at the 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice on September 1st. This prestigious fundraising event coincides with the 81st edition of the Venice International Film Festival, taking place from August 28th to September 7th.
The annual gala will be held at the iconic Hangar Nicelli, overlooking the city’s lagoon, and will feature a black-tie gala dinner and a live auction of artworks and unique experiences. The goal is to raise funds for AIDS research, HIV prevention, treatment education, and advocacy for affected individuals’ rights.
Kelly Rowland, former member of Destiny’s Child, follows in the footsteps of artists like Rita Ora and Leona Lewis, who headlined last year’s gala and raised $2 million for the cause. In 2022, Grammy-nominated singer Ellie Goulding was the star of the event.
amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost expressed excitement about Rowland’s participation: “Her incredible voice will make this a truly unforgettable night.” Additionally, amfAR highlighted Rowland’s commitment to the cause, noting her trips to Africa to spotlight healthcare disparities.
The 2024 amfAR Gala in Venice is presented by the World Gold Council and the Red Sea International Film Festival, with Chopard and Campari as the main sponsors. Since 1985, amfAR has invested over $635 million in its programs and awarded more than 3,800 research grants worldwide.
