FKA Twigs Captivates at The Crow Premiere, Transitioning from Hollywood Glamour to Punk Lingerie in One Evening

Leave it to FKA Twigs to go from Hollywood glamour to an artistic take on seductive lingerie within just a few hours. Twigs and her co-star in The Crow, Bill Skarsgård, brought a dark and twisted glamour to the film’s New York premiere.

She paired her partially shaved hair with an alien-style chrome headband and sported silver dagger-shaped nails and “no eyebrows” makeup. Bill Skarsgård, on the other hand, adhered to the night’s all-black dress code, wearing a Prada ensemble. The actor’s jacket was adorned with a seatbelt buckle at the waist, complemented by a gray shirt, tie, black tuxedo pants, and leather shoes.

For an after-party hosted by Ssense later that night, Twigs turned up the heat with an outfit from Italian brand Giuseppe di Morabito’s Fall 2024 collection. She embraced the trend of wearing lingerie as outerwear with a semi-transparent lace corset that flowed into a tiny mini skirt. The dress also featured a train extending to the floor from the side of the singer. Twigs accessorized her lingerie with a black bracelet, a sculptural clutch, and platform Mary Jane shoes. Skarsgård chose to stick with the Prada outfit he wore earlier.

The Crow, directed by Rupert Sanders, is the fifth installment in the film franchise, with the last one released in 1994. Inspired by the 1989 comic series of the same name, it follows a murdered musician named Eric (Skarsgård) who is resurrected to avenge his and his fiancée Shelley’s deaths, with Shelley played by Twigs.

The singer and actress showcased an experimental look from head to toe, starting with a strapless burgundy corset top. The singer held a brown clutch lined with chestnut-colored fur on both sides.

Twigs described filming the movie as “the biggest and most transformative moment of my life,” adding, “It set a new standard for the kind of love I want.”

Twigs began the night with her own version of first lady glamour, wearing a vintage Giorgio Armani gown. The floor-length satin dress featured a heart-shaped neckline accentuated by black geometric straps. The detail extended from the bust of Twigs’ dress to her neck. Although this archival Armani is a more simplified version of Twigs’ style—especially compared to the eccentric moment she had the day before—she managed to give her premiere look a distinctive touch with some key beauty features.
