The actress took advantage of one of Hollywood’s most recognized events to pay tribute to Audrey Hepburn.
The 2024 Academy Museum Gala celebrated its fourth edition to raise funds for the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. The event was a display of elegance, and one of the stars whose style stood out the most was actress and model Kaia Gerber.
The actress walked the red carpet in a dress that perfectly blended the worlds of cinema and fashion. Gerber chose to wear a gown from Alexander McQueen’s fall 1997 haute couture collection for Givenchy. The dress was a black version of the iconic dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady, featuring a long train and adorned with jewelry that hung from the sleeves. Like many other celebrities who opted for Old Hollywood inspiration, the model completed her look with a romantic updo featuring curls and simple yet feminine makeup. As for accessories, Kaia Gerber chose a simple yet personality-filled silver choker and silver gemstone earrings that added an even more glamorous touch to the event.

Regarding the inspiration for her look, Gerber mentioned that the Academy Museum Gala is the perfect opportunity to pay homage to old Hollywood. As a big fan of Audrey Hepburn, she envisioned a slightly darker and more gothic version of the iconic My Fair Lady dress.
