Gucci will celebrate its Cruise 2026 show in Florence on May 15, paying homage to its legacy in the city.
Gucci has announced that its Cruise 2026 show will take place in Florence on May 15. This city, where the brand was founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, will once again serve as the backdrop for an event that honors its legacy. The show, titled ‘Gucci Firenze,’ marks the second Cruise collection under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno, who presented his first collection in London at the Tate Modern last May.
The bond between Gucci and Florence is deep and enduring. The city, known for its craftsmanship and creativity, has witnessed the evolution of the brand over more than a century. Gucci has a strong presence in the region, with offices in Casellina, the innovative Gucci ArtLab production center in Scandicci, and the historic boutique on Via de’ Tornabuoni, which opened in 1967. Additionally, Florence houses the brand’s archive, located in the Palazzo Settimanni.

This announcement follows the recent statement from Chanel about its own Cruise 2026 show, which will take place at Lake Como on April 29. The Gucci show reaffirms its connection to the city where it all began, highlighting both its rich heritage and contemporary vision.
