Chinese actor Song Weilong has joined as an ambassador for Gucci, following his standout performances in both the entertainment and international fashion industries.
Renowned for his compelling roles in popular Chinese dramas such as “Find Yourself” and “Love the Way You Are,” Song Weilong has garnered critical acclaim, including the Best New Actor award at the China Movie Channel Media Awards in 2019. His collaboration with Gucci began with a prominent role in the brand’s Valentine’s Day 520 campaign, under the creative direction of Sabato De Sarno.
This partnership comes as no surprise for Song, given his track record as a fashion icon. He boasts a portfolio with several high-profile international brands, showcasing his significant appeal and influence. Notably, he has been associated with Burberry, serving as their spokesperson for Burberry Beauty in August 2020 and later becoming a brand ambassador after his participation in the Trench Coat advertising campaign. Additionally, Emporio Armani appointed him as the brand spokesperson for Men’s Watches in 2020, subsequently expanding his role to include Men’s Watches and Accessories in 2022. Furthermore, in a historic move, luxury Japanese jewelry brand Mikimoto named Song as their first global male ambassador in 2022.
