Latin pop star Belinda takes the lead in Carlota, Sony Pictures Television’s latest high-profile series, which reinterprets the life of Carlota of Habsburg, the only Empress of Mexico. The historical drama — consisting of 10 episodes, each 45 minutes long — is expected to become one of the standout releases of the year for streaming platforms and international broadcasters.
Joining Belinda are two actors beloved by Spanish audiences: Miguel Ángel Silvestre (Sense8, Sky Rojo) and Jaime Lorente (Money Heist, El Cid), playing the roles of Alfred Van Der Smissen and Maximilian of Habsburg, respectively. The cast also features Mabel Cadena (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), and a top-tier creative team led by Alejandro Bazzano and Ana Lorena Pérez Ríos.
