Following Lewis Hamilton’s historic triumph, Brad Pitt stars in an exhilarating F1 drama set to premiere in 2025.
After Lewis Hamilton‘s historic victory at the 2024 British Grand Prix, F1 fans can eagerly anticipate the upcoming cinematic debut next year of a sports drama centered around the franchise. The previously announced F1 movie has released its first trailer, featuring Brad Pitt as former pilot Sonny Hayes.
Following an accident that forces Hayes into retirement, the former star is compelled to leave F1. Decades later, Hayes is invited by his friend Ruben (Javier Bardem), an F1 team owner, to serve as a mentor to a rookie at Apex Grand Prix, Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris).
The first trailer reveals little about the movie’s plot but showcases a montage of high-speed racing scenes filmed from a first-person perspective, immersing the viewer in the F1 pilot’s experience.
Hamilton is one of the lead producers of the film and will also appear on screen as himself, alongside other drivers such as Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz Jr., Sergio Pérez, and Benoit Tréluyer.
