Burberry and Vestiaire Collective unite to promote sustainable fashion and the resale of iconic luxury items.

In an exciting move towards sustainability and responsible fashion, Burberry has announced its collaboration with Vestiaire Collective, the world’s leading platform for the resale of luxury clothing. Starting today, Burberry customers in the United Kingdom and the United States will have the opportunity to resell their iconic trench coats and handbags through the Burberry x Vestiaire Collective platform and, in return, receive a Burberry gift voucher.

This partnership not only allows fashion enthusiasts to find a new life for their Burberry pieces but also contributes to Burberry’s mission of promoting circularity and extending the lifespan of its products. Vestiaire Collective will be responsible for authenticating and verifying the quality of the items before making them available to a global audience.

As an additional gesture, Burberry has donated a selection of women’s Heritage trench coats to Vestiaire Collective. The proceeds from these items will go to Smart Works, a British charity that assists unemployed women by providing them with appropriate clothing for job interviews.

Giorgio Belloli, Chief Digital, Customer, and Innovation Officer of Burberry, expressed his excitement about this collaboration, emphasizing the importance of keeping garments in use for a longer period. Fanny Moizant, co-founder and president of Vestiaire Collective, also welcomed this partnership, underscoring their shared mission to promote circularity in fashion and provide responsible alternatives to consumers.

This exciting collaboration between two fashion giants represents a significant step towards a more sustainable and circular future in the luxury industry.
