Charles Leclerc was spotted in Monaco driving a classic Ferrari 275 GTB valued at $2.5 million.

Ferrari Formula 1 star Charles Leclerc has added a historic gem to his collection: a Series I Ferrari 275 GTB, estimated at $2.5 million.

The elegant Verde Scuro model was seen over the weekend in Monaco, drawing admiration from fans and collectors alike. Considered one of the most coveted classics from Maranello, this 1965 Ferrari represents a bridge between the marque’s storied past and its racing legacy.

With only 200 units ever built, the 275 GTB is powered by a 3.3-litre Colombo V12 engine delivering 280 horsepower. It was the first road-going Ferrari to feature a five-speed gearbox and independent rear suspension. Its timeless design, penned by Pininfarina, stands as an ode to automotive elegance. The model also boasts racing pedigree, having secured third place at the 1965 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Leclerc, a known enthusiast of classic cars, had previously tested a restored example on the Fiorano track in 2021. “It’s pure joy. The sound, the history you feel when driving it… it’s incredible,” he remarked at the time. For the Monegasque driver, experiencing that kind of motoring is “a journey into the past that I wish could be relived on track.”

With this acquisition, Leclerc adds yet another gem to his garage, which already includes models such as the Ferrari Daytona SP3, 812 Competizione Aperta, Purosangue and 488 Pista.
