Coach unveiled its spring collection in New York, blending nostalgic grunge with playful freshness, capturing optimism, creativity and the energy of Generation Z.

At a time when fashion often mirrors uncertainty, Coach chooses a different narrative: hope. Guided by creative director Stuart Vevers, the American house unveiled its spring collection in Manhattan, a show that captured the vibrant energy of New York and the free spirit of Generation Z.

The setting, Pier 36 transformed into a city at dawn, symbolised the beginning of a new day. Against this backdrop, Vevers presented a universe where 90s grunge and 70s spontaneity blended with pieces infused with optimism. Sheer dresses decorated with hearts, stars and balloons added a playful tone, while distressed leather jackets, wide denim and shirts printed with images of cities like Seattle, Detroit or Santa Cruz reinforced the brand’s urban essence.

The proposal leaned towards fluid, genderless silhouettes, balancing nostalgia and modernity: pleated trousers inspired by vintage masculine patterns, fitted tops and outerwear that combined comfort with style. The use of recycled materials in denim and leather highlighted Coach’s commitment to a more conscious fashion, in tune with a generation drawn to vintage while embracing innovation.

Accessories were equally central. From geometric handbags with the signature kiss-lock frame to mini versions worn as necklaces, each piece evoked New York’s ability to surprise with unexpected finds. For Vevers, this collection not only celebrates Coach’s identity but also invites us to imagine a brighter future.
