The singer explained that one of the key factors that helped her deal with that pressure was advice from her mother, Dianna De La Garza, who encouraged her to see competition in the entertainment industry from a different perspective. According to Lovato, her mother always reminded her that one person’s success does not mean another person’s failure and that there is space for everyone in the creative world.
