Diddy has decided not to testify in his sex trafficking trial in New York, marking a pivotal turn in the case.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has chosen not to take the stand in his defence during the ongoing sex trafficking trial in New York, according to People magazine. This shocking development comes in the sixth week of the legal proceedings that have shaken the entertainment industry.
The renowned music producer is facing serious charges, including sex trafficking, criminal conspiracy, and transportation for the purpose of prostitution, following his arrest in September 2024. Despite pleading not guilty, Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, after being denied bail.
The trial, which began on 5 May, is now entering its final phase. The prosecution has postponed the close of its case until 20 June, due to key testimonies, including that of an agent who linked the artist to the transport of a male escort in 2009.
With millions of followers awaiting the verdict, Diddy’s decision not to take the stand could prove decisive. Will his legal strategy be enough to avoid a conviction?
