The singer kicks off her wedding celebrations in Sicily with Callum Turner wearing a spectacular custom Bottega Veneta design.

Images from Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s wedding celebrations are already making headlines around the world, and the singer has once again proved that she has never followed fashion’s conventional rules. After recently stepping out in London wearing a sophisticated bridal-inspired ensemble, Dua has now opened the festivities in Palermo, Sicily, with a look that completely reimagines the traditional wedding dress.

Far removed from classic lace or romantic satin, Dua Lipa chose a bespoke Bottega Veneta creation that seamlessly blended luxury, craftsmanship and a contemporary attitude closely tied to her personal style. The design featured a striking white leather bodice crafted using the Italian house’s iconic intrecciato weaving technique, one of the brand’s most recognisable signatures.

The gown showcased an elegant halterneck silhouette and a completely open back, bringing sensuality to the look without compromising sophistication. The true focal point, however, came through the lower half of the design, where a dramatic mermaid-style skirt crafted from white ostrich feathers added movement, glamour and a cinematic quality perfectly suited to the Mediterranean setting of the celebration.

The artist completed the ensemble with a matching feathered clutch and several pieces of Bulgari jewellery, reinforcing an aesthetic that combined Italian glamour, contemporary luxury and subtle references to the golden age of grand European celebrations.

When it came to beauty, the singer embraced a far more understated approach. She opted for an almost invisible manicure finished with a sheer pink gloss and wore her signature brunette hair long and loose, styled in soft waves that perfectly complemented the relaxed yet refined atmosphere of the event.

Meanwhile, Callum Turner selected a tailored beige linen suit by Jacquemus, paired with a crisp white shirt and black sunglasses that brought a relaxed edge to his look. The couple were photographed arriving at the first welcome events smiling, dancing and sharing affectionate moments that reflected the happiness of this new chapter in their lives.

The celebration has also brought together an impressive guest list spanning music, fashion and entertainment. Among those attending are Charli XCX, George Daniel, Troye Sivan, Joe Alwyn, Mark Ronson and Grace Gummer, helping to establish the wedding as one of the most talked-about social events of the year.

Beyond the romance, Dua Lipa’s first bridal-inspired look confirms a growing trend among a new generation of brides. Rather than following established formulas, many are choosing to express their individuality through fashion, even on one of the most important days of their lives. And if Sicily has shown anything so far, it is that modern bridal luxury can be written in white leather and feathers.
