“‘Pretty Smart’ marked my inaugural foray into the world of sitcoms, so it was a momentous milestone for both me and my career. For years, I had been auditioning for sitcoms, but success had eluded me. I faced a plethora of rejections, making this series eternally dear to my heart. Multi-camera sitcoms are a whole different ballgame, and initially, it required some adjustment. Fortunately, I had the privilege of working with an exceptionally talented, patient, and humorous ensemble and crew, resulting in the most enjoyable work experience of my life.”
Carmona also divulges her motivation for taking on a role in ‘Reefa’ and the message she aspired to convey with the film. The movie, based on the story of an immigrant family from Barranquilla, Colombia, residing in Miami, struck a chord with the actress due to her roots.
“From the outset, learning that it was a tale of an immigrant family from Barranquilla, Colombia, living in Miami, piqued my interest because it’s where I hail from, my roots, and my upbringing. However, it wasn’t until I delved into the script… I remember shedding tears afterward and phoning my sister to declare, ‘I need to be part of this film.’ Reefa’s heart-wrenching narrative mirrors those of countless black and brown youths who meet their untimely demise at the hands of police brutality. He was an exceptional artist taken from us far too soon. My aim was to raise awareness, seek justice for Reefa, and perpetuate his legacy. #JusticeforReefa.”

As for her upcoming projects, the actress hints at several surprises in store for her followers. She recently completed her involvement in the new Jenni Rivera biopic, in which she portrays Rivera’s daughter, Chiquis Rivera.
Carmona has made a mark in projects such as ‘Deputy’ and ‘Greenhouse Academy.’ The actress shares how these experiences have contributed to her current career objectives.
“‘Deputy’ was a blast! It was a pleasure to collaborate with David Ayer again; he’s a close friend. ‘Greenhouse Academy’ was my maiden voyage in a series from inception to conclusion. It was an extraordinary production, and we’ve garnered a legion of devoted fans from all corners of the globe. It truly altered my life’s trajectory. From my initiation in acting, I always harboured a distinct vision of the type of work I aspired to undertake. The roles I’ve selected have invariably aligned with this vision over the years. At present, my primary objective is to craft outstanding art in the company of remarkable artists.”
In addition to her acting career, Carmona is involved in supplementary creative and artistic projects. She is currently penning her first feature and has ventured into production.

The actress divulges how the opportunity to host ‘You, Me, & Joe’ on LATV came about and what viewers can anticipate from the show.
“At the commencement of this year, I pledged to open myself up to the world. Whether that meant voicing my thoughts more prominently on social media, embodying diverse characters, exploring the world, or forming new friendships, I aimed to genuinely connect with people more. When LATV approached me, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. It certainly presented a deviation from the norm, as I had never previously taken on the role of a TV show host. Nevertheless, my innate curiosity about people and my aspiration to inspire made it feel remarkably natural. I adore that ‘YOU, ME AND JOE’ showcases authentic conversations between artists discussing their passions while sharing a cup of coffee. It radiates positive vibes!”

Fashion plays a pivotal role in Cinthya Carmona’s life, and the actress shares her aspirations concerning her attire and the designers who inspire her.
“For me, fashion serves as one of the many mediums for self-expression. Depending on the mood I find myself in (or the mood I wish to channel), my choice of attire mirrors that sentiment. Fashion is an art form, and I relish experimenting with diverse looks and personae. I hold a deep appreciation for the female form and thoroughly enjoy the process of dressing up. My extraordinary stylist, Bianca Agrusa, and I are perpetually engaged in creative collaboration, embracing novelty and taking calculated sartorial risks. At present, I find myself particularly enamoured with Versace and LaQuan Smith.”
