The South Korean brand embraces audio, artificial intelligence and futuristic design in its first smart eyewear collection alongside Google and Samsung.

Gentle Monster has officially entered a new technological era. During the Google I/O 2026 event, the South Korean label unveiled its first line of intelligent eyewear developed in collaboration with Google and Samsung, a partnership designed to redefine how fashion and artificial intelligence integrate into everyday life.

Far removed from traditional tech aesthetics, the project embraces a far more sophisticated, design-led approach. The objective shared by the three companies is clear: to create smart glasses capable of blending naturally into daily life without sacrificing style, comfort or visual identity.

The collection will feature advanced audio glasses equipped with integrated speakers, a built-in camera and internal microphones, allowing users to listen to music, make phone calls, take photographs and access digital functions directly through the device — all without needing to take a phone out of their pocket.

One of the proposal’s most innovative aspects will be the integration of Google Gemini, Google’s artificial intelligence system. Thanks to this technology, users will be able to interact through voice commands to access real-time information about their surroundings, receive navigation directions, translate conversations live and even complete complex digital tasks instantly.

According to the companies, the collection was specifically designed to keep users fully present within their physical environment, avoiding the sense of disconnection historically associated with many wearable tech devices.

Samsung contributes its extensive expertise in engineering and hardware development to the technical construction of the glasses, while Gentle Monster brings its futuristic and experimental visual language to the frame designs.

The first official silhouette was already revealed during the event, although the remainder of the collection will be introduced progressively throughout the year. The official launch is scheduled for Autumn 2026.
