Giorgio Armani made a stunning return to New York with an intimate runway show inspired by cinema and understated luxury.
Giorgio Armani celebrated his return to New York with a dazzling show at the Park Avenue Armory, his first in the city since 2013. The runway, inspired by the designer’s nostalgia for the city and his love for cinema, evoked the atmosphere of Grand Central Station in the 1930s, creating an intimate and evocative setting. Titled “In Viaggio” (On a Journey), the Spring 2025 collection was an ode to understated luxury and timeless craftsmanship.

The show opened with impeccably dressed porters introducing the models, immediately setting the travel theme. The garments, true to Armani’s signature style, included unstructured suits in neutral tones, light linens, and relaxed jackets, balanced with more contemporary pieces such as balloon pants and sheer dresses. Handcrafted details, such as perforated leather boots, tortoiseshell bracelets, and oversized backpacks, added an exotic touch.

The audience included Hollywood stars like Amanda Seyfried, Brie Larson, and Orlando Bloom, who enjoyed an unforgettable evening while sipping champagne. The event also coincided with the opening of Armani’s new boutique on Madison Avenue, further cementing the designer’s legacy in New York. At 90 years old, Armani continues to showcase his mastery in blending elegance and modernity.
