Featuring never-before-seen archival pieces.
Gucci is bringing its Cosmos exhibition to London, offering viewers the opportunity to delve into the extensive history of the House during its 102 years of existence.
Located at 180 Studios, the exhibition will be curated by British artist Es Devlin, the original exhibition designer. Blending elements of the House’s history with subtle references to the city of London, the reinvented exhibition will showcase the UK’s fundamental role in inspiring Guccio Gucci.
On the other hand, Italian curator Maria Luisa Frisa will present a series of new never-before-seen items from Gucci’s rich archive, to be displayed during the London stage of the exhibition tour. As it travels, Gucci Cosmos aims to “carry the heritage and craftsmanship of the House around the world,” taking visitors on a journey from the beginning of its archive in Florence to the present day.
After London, the exhibition will arrive in Paris and Kyoto, including distinctive elements specific to each city. Gucci Cosmos will open its doors at 180 Studios on October 11th and run until December 31st, 2023.
