The Italian maison explores community, belonging and emotional bonds through an intimate narrative starring Ni Ni, Song Wei Long and Davika Hoorne.
At a cultural moment defined by the search for genuine connection, Gucci turns its attention back to what truly matters with ‘The Gathering’, its latest global campaign. Far removed from noise or empty spectacle, the Italian house proposes a scene that feels instantly familiar and deeply human: a shared table, flowing conversations and the quiet certainty of being exactly where you belong. More than a visual accompaniment to the ‘La Famiglia’ collection, the campaign provides its emotional framework, transforming fashion into a reflection of the bonds we build throughout our lives.
Since Demna was appointed creative director in 2025, every move by Gucci has been closely scrutinised. His first collection for the house, presented last September under the title ‘La Famiglia’, already outlined the foundations of his vision: a legacy revisited through emotion, an aesthetic where past and present coexist, and a notion of luxury rooted in everyday life. ‘The Gathering’ now functions as the narrative that gives depth and meaning to that universe.

The campaign brings together a carefully selected cast of global ambassadors: Chinese actress Ni Ni, actor Song Wei Long, and Thai actress Davika Hoorne, joined by her partner Chantavit Dhanasevi. Beyond individual fame, what connects the protagonists is the ease with which they embody contemporary relationships — bonds that do not always follow traditional structures, yet feel equally, if not more, meaningful.
The images capture an intergenerational moment around a table, where glances, gestures and silences speak as clearly as the clothes themselves. There are no forced poses or exaggerated drama. Each character retains a strong sense of individuality, while sharing a common space that becomes a point of convergence. This tension between individuality and community is central to Demna’s narrative language, and here it is expressed with restraint, sensitivity and honesty.
The ‘La Famiglia’ collection appears seamlessly integrated into the scene. The silhouettes reference heritage while remaining firmly grounded in the present: garments that evoke shared wardrobes, pieces that feel passed down through generations, and details that point to the intimacy of everyday dressing. Fashion shifts away from distant aspiration and becomes part of real life — something that accompanies moments and helps create memories.
The idea of chosen family runs throughout the campaign. Gucci offers an expansive interpretation of belonging, one defined not by blood, but by affection, complicity and shared experience. In an increasingly fragmented global context, this perspective carries particular weight. Dressing, gathering and celebrating together becomes an almost political act — an affirmation of humanity in the face of disconnection.
Visually, ‘The Gathering’ is anchored in warmth and proximity. Soft lighting and intimate framing reinforce a sense of home, while avoiding unnecessary artifice. Every element serves the story, aligning with the narrative approach Demna has begun to establish at the house. The campaign does not shout; it whispers, inviting the viewer to recognise themselves within the scene.
Beyond its aesthetic value, ‘The Gathering’ confirms a clear direction for Gucci in this new chapter. The brand positions itself as a space where fashion tells human stories, where luxury is redefined through emotion, and where the act of dressing is inseparable from who we are and who we choose to share our lives with. It is not only about clothing, but about identity, memory and connection.
With this campaign, Gucci does more than support a collection — it builds an imaginary world. One where fashion leaves the distant showcase and becomes part of the table, the conversation and the memory. ‘The Gathering’ is, ultimately, an invitation to come together again, to look around and to remember that true luxury still lies in sharing the moment with those who give meaning to our story.
