Issey Miyake’s menswear line, ‘IM MEN’, debuted at Paris Fashion Week, showcasing functionality, innovative design, and a tribute to the founder’s legacy.
As part of Paris Fashion Week, Issey Miyake unveiled the Autumn 2025 collection for its menswear line, ‘IM MEN’, marking a new chapter for the fashion house following the passing of its founder in 2022.

The show opened with evocative symbolism: a futuristic robot and a blackboard set the stage for a collection that blends functionality with elegance. Designed by Sen Kawahara, Yuki Itakura, and Nobutaka Kobayashi from the Miyake Design Studio, the collection featured modular pieces, oversized coats, and garments with plant-based nylon linings, highlighting both sustainability and innovation.

The collection reflected Issey Miyake’s legacy with a renewed focus that extends beyond the brand’s signature pleats, prioritising wearability and versatility. The garments not only celebrated the intimate relationship between the human body and fabric but also stood out for their adaptability to a dynamic lifestyle.

‘IM MEN’ not only pays homage to the brand’s past but also redefines its future with modern proposals that seamlessly combine form and function. This debut in Paris strengthens Issey Miyake’s enduring influence on contemporary fashion and underscores the brand’s commitment to excellence and creativity.
