“Nothing on this earth” can make him reprise his role as Jack Sparrow.

In the midst of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation lawsuit, the Pirates of Caribbean star has revealed that he will never return to the franchise.

Disney cut the actor from the sixth installment days after his ex-wife’s 2018 op-ed was published. However, even if Disney were to change its mind and want Depp back, he is determined not to return.

“If Disney came to you with $300 million (USD) and a million alpacas, would nothing in this world make you go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean movie ? Correct?” Heard’s lawyer, Ben Rottenborn, asked Depp, who confirmed that he no longer wants to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow. “That’s true, Mr. Rottenborn,” Depp replied.

When Rottenborn asked about a 2018 Daily Mail article that claimed he was “out like Jack Sparrow,” Depp admitted that while he “wasn’t aware,” it “doesn’t surprise him.” “It had been two years of constant talk around the world about me being a wife beater,” he continued. “So I’m sure Disney was trying to cut ties to be safe. The #MeToo movement was in full swing at the time.”

Depp also shared that he believed his career was “over” after Heard made those allegations against him. “Once that happened, I lost then,” he said. “No matter the outcome of this lawsuit, I will carry it for the rest of my days… I am suing her for defamation and the various falsehoods she used to end my life.”
