Joe Jonas almost leaked his new solo album but chose to wait, allowing him to refine details and add collaborations.

Joe Jonas, the 35-year-old musician, has finally released Music For People Who Believe In Love, his highly anticipated second solo album, on Friday, 23 May. Initially set for release seven months earlier, the album was delayed to fine-tune its final touches.

In an interview with People, Joe confessed: “At some point last year, I called my manager and said, ‘Can I just leak the album or put it out? I’m tired of waiting.’” However, he was persuaded not to and is now grateful for the decision. “I wouldn’t have had my latest single ‘Heart by Heart’ on it if I didn’t hold onto it. So I’m glad I waited,” he explained.

Around 70% of the original album remains, though Joe polished some tracks and added exciting collaborations. There are seven or eight features on the album, including one with his youngest brother Franklin Jonas on ‘Velvet Sunshine’.

This project showcases a deeply personal side of the artist and solidifies his creative evolution. Meanwhile, Jonas Brothers celebrate Disneyland’s 70th anniversary with ‘Celebrate Happy’ and are preparing new releases: Greetings From Your Hometown, a live album, and a Christmas special for Disney+.
