The Emmy-winning actress becomes Loewe’s global ambassador, reinforcing the strategic shift under the creative direction of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez.
Julia Garner enters a new chapter in her relationship with fashion after being appointed global ambassador for Loewe, in a key move within the creative renewal led by its new directors, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. The American actress, internationally recognised for her role as Ruth Langmore in ‘Ozark’, leaves behind her previous association with Gucci to align with the Spanish maison.
The designers stated they felt an immediate connection with Garner, praising her fearless approach to performance and her constant curiosity. For the creative duo, the actress embodies a spirit of exploration that aligns with Loewe’s current vision: a contemporary, instinctive and radiant femininity.
Garner, for her part, has expressed admiration for McCollough and Hernandez, founders of Proenza Schouler in 2002 and now responsible for Loewe’s new creative chapter. According to the actress, their vision is “committed and absolute”, comparable to the level of dedication an actor brings to a role.
Professionally, Julia Garner is experiencing one of the strongest moments of her career. She recently wrapped production on the Netflix series ‘The Altruists’, where she also serves as executive producer through her company Alma Margo. She will next star in ‘Tyrant’ alongside Charlize Theron, directed by David Weil. In addition, she has appeared in productions such as ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ and has been recognised with a Golden Globe and three consecutive Primetime Emmy Awards for her work on ‘Ozark’.
For Garner, Loewe represents a space that celebrates individuality and experimentation. Her appointment strengthens the brand’s strategy of connecting fashion, culture and cinematic talent in this new creative era.
