While Kendrick Lamar was preparing for an unforgettable Super Bowl LIX halftime show, Katy Perry was shining at another major sporting event.
On 8 February, Katy Perry opened the Invictus Games 2025 as one of the headline performers at the opening ceremony. During her performance, she delivered a medley of her biggest hits, including ‘Roar‘, ‘Firework‘, and ‘Dark Horse‘, dressed in a striking blend of sportswear and lingerie.
A sporty white corset
Katy Perry’s love for corsets is well known. In January, she took to the stage at the FireAid Benefit Concert for California Fire Relief wearing a graphic T-shirt paired with a lace-up corset. A month earlier, she dazzled at the Jingle Ball in a festive, lingerie-inspired outfit. Her Invictus Games performance was no exception.
For the opening ceremony in Vancouver, Perry opted for a sleeveless white corset featuring an asymmetric neckline and a structured bodice with front and side boning. However, unlike on other occasions, this piece wasn’t the main focal point. From a distance, it appeared to be a simple tank top, concealed beneath a white technical vest with black detailing, mesh pockets, and a zigzag lace-up design.
A touch of sensuality
For the lower half of her look, the singer wore tiny grey sports shorts with an elasticated waistband and an adjustable drawstring. White ribbons adorned with black buttons ran down the sides, extending past the hemline. However, the boldest detail came in the form of her white garter leggings, seamlessly blending into thigh-high shin guards with futuristic silver accents. Perry completed the ensemble with white heeled boots and reflective nylon arm warmers, striking the perfect balance between sporty and seductive.
