As a global ambassador, Vernon will be the image of various Kenzo advertising campaigns.

Nigo, the artistic director of Kenzo and a music connoisseur, has chosen Vernon, one of the 13 members of the South Korean boy band Seventeen, as the global ambassador for the French house.

The 25-year-old K-pop star will lead diverse advertising campaigns for Kenzo’s clothing and footwear categories, and will make his first official appearance at Kenzo’s mixed fashion show, which will take place on Friday during Men’s Fashion Week in Paris.

Nigo revealed the appointment and said he is “pleased and grateful to welcome Vernon to the Kenzo family.”

Vernon, on the other hand, commented that he is “excited to explore the synergy that this partnership will introduce” and looks forward to “showing a new side of myself to fans worldwide.”

Born into a Franco-Korean family, Hansol Vernon Chwe holds dual American and South Korean citizenship and is considered the main rapper and face of Seventeen, a band created under Pledis Entertainment.

According to Kenzo, his “exceptional mastery of vocal range, tone, and visual versatility quickly helped him gain recognition and reputation worldwide.”

It is said that he is preparing for Seventeen’s comeback this summer.

With previous television experience, Vernon’s charm caught the attention of Pledis, his current management company. He is credited with co-writing nearly 70 songs and has 6 million followers on Instagram.
