Daniel Boulud unveils his first-ever steakhouse in New York: French luxury, striking design and an open kitchen concept facing Madison Square Park.
New York’s culinary scene reaches a new milestone with the opening of La Tête d’Or, the first steakhouse by Michelin-starred chef Daniel Boulud. Located on the ground floor of the One Madison tower, directly across from the iconic Madison Square Park, the restaurant is a contemporary tribute to French tradition and the city’s cosmopolitan spirit.

Designed by acclaimed studio Rockwell Group, the space blends visual drama with timeless elegance. From its glass façade to its five distinctive dining areas, every detail at La Tête d’Or is crafted to offer a multisensory experience where architecture, art and haute cuisine converge.

The concept draws a direct line to Boulud’s hometown of Lyon, borrowing its name from the renowned Parc de la Tête d’Or. This emotional connection comes to life in the interiors, where a wood-fired grill and open kitchen take centre stage. Dark marble, red leather, walnut wood and art déco touches define a sophisticated aesthetic that reimagines the classic steakhouse.

Beyond its design, the culinary offering showcases the chef’s technical mastery, with prime cuts, French inspiration and theatrical presentations. On the 28th floor, the rooftop Le Jardin sur Madison takes the experience even further, offering privileged views and a menu curated for exclusive events.

With La Tête d’Or, Daniel Boulud and Rockwell Group reaffirm that luxury, when paired with authenticity and vision, continues to shape the rhythm of the city that never sleeps.
