LOEWE Perfumes presents an artistic collaboration with Ignasi Monreal that transforms its fragrances into striking works of visual art.
LOEWE Perfumes has unveiled a unique collaboration with renowned Spanish artist Ignasi Monreal, resulting in an innovative fusion of fragrance and contemporary art. This partnership elevates the sensory experience beyond the sense of smell by incorporating original illustrations inspired by the brand’s five most iconic scented candles: Ivy, Tomato, Marijuana, Beetroot and Oregano.

The project stands out for its ability to translate aromas into images that evoke deep sensations. Ignasi Monreal, known for his style that blends classical techniques with modern digital painting, has created five visual pieces that capture the emotional essence of each fragrance. Rather than simply depicting the ingredients, his works aim to express what each scent “feels like” when perceived, building an immersive visual narrative.
Each illustration interprets a candle through a symbolic lens. Ivy is depicted surrounded by lush, elegant greenery. Tomato is shown with vibrant flames suggesting intensity. Marijuana reflects a plant gazing at itself in a mirror – a visual metaphor for introspection. In Beetroot, the candle’s smoke transforms into LOEWE’s iconic anagram. Finally, Oregano shows a lit candle melting into pastel-coloured wax puddles, alluding to the softness of the scent.
This collaboration strengthens LOEWE Perfumes’ position as a brand that offers more than fragrances – it creates multisensory experiences. The integration of visual art with the olfactory world presents a new way of connecting with audiences, appealing to both emotion and aesthetics.
The partnership between LOEWE and Ignasi Monreal not only enriches the brand’s identity but also provides captivating content for lovers of design, art and niche perfumery. This initiative reaffirms LOEWE as a benchmark for innovation in the luxury sector, where art and creativity are integral to the product itself.
