J Balvin, Paloma Elsesser, and Futura are the faces of Marc Jacobs’ upcoming collection.

Marc Jacobs‘ 40th anniversary collaborations have been a resounding success. The prolific American designer has joined forces with figures such as NIGO, Cactus Plant Flea Market, Stephen Sprouse, and Anna Sui to reimagine, revive, and renew his brand’s most coveted pieces. He still plans to release special edition designs with people like Pharrell, Tremaine Emory, Sofia Coppola, Takashi Murakami, and more to celebrate the occasion.

Today, the designer has unveiled a new collaboration with artist Futura, with whom Jacobs previously worked on an activation in 2022 benefiting Free Arts NYC, an organization dedicated to empowering young people in underserved communities. Together, the duo has created a special edition capsule featuring reinterpretations of Jacobs’ iconic pieces, including The Tote Bag, The Snapshot, unisex denim, hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, and jewelry, all adorned with Futura’s signature art.

The style-packed collection is accompanied by a star-studded campaign featuring J Balvin, Paloma Elsesser, and Futura himself. Photographed by Renell Medrano and styled by Milton Dixon III, the visual presentation shows the three stars posing amidst Futura’s sculptures and graffiti graphics that read Marc Jacobs.

The Futura x Marc Jacobs collection, officially launching on September 6, is the eighth installment of a year filled with collaborations with friends and partners for Jacobs’ 40th anniversary. The brand will also host special pop-ups in New York, London, Beijing, and Japan for the capsule, coinciding with the opening of Futura’s major exhibition, FUTURA 2000: BREAKING OUT, at the Bronx Museum on September 8.
