Martin Scorsese‘s latest film, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon,’ has achieved an impressive debut at the box office, securing the second position with a total revenue of $44 million. This accomplishment marks the director’s best opening since his 2010 film, ‘Shutter Island.’ The movie, based on David Grann’s non-fiction book, is set in the 1920s in Oklahoma and tells the story of the investigation into the murders of the Osage people following the discovery of vast oil reserves on their land. With a cast led by Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ promises to be a continued success at the box office and in future awards. Apple, the company that acquired the film, is exploring new release strategies for its upcoming productions.
