Michael Kors blends artisanal luxury and versatility in his Spring 2025 collection, inspired by the elegance of the 1950s.
Michael Kors presents rustic opulence for Spring 2025, combining artisanal luxury with a touch of Netflix’s series “Ripley.” Inspired by the romance of the 1950s and the minimalist sensuality of the 1990s, the designer created a collection that reflects the need for special yet versatile pieces.

The color palette, featuring black, ivory, cactus green, and ice blue, evokes Mediterranean landscapes, while artisanal materials and techniques stand out in pieces like a circular denim skirt embroidered with denim petals and a “lace” pencil skirt made from leather sequins. Kors also introduced a black cashmere set adorned with raffia pinwheels that produce a soft sound when moving, adding a sensory element to the collection.

The designer emphasized comfort without sacrificing luxury, as seen in his sequin dresses that appear simple from afar but reveal intricate details up close. Focusing on versatile garments that can be worn repeatedly, Kors rejects excessive opulence and triviality.
“People are looking for warmth, personality, and something special they can wear all the time,” said Kors, summing up his proposal for a season where artisanal luxury meets functionality.
