Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes presented new footage from ‘Masters of the Universe’ at CinemaCon 2026 alongside director Travis Knight.
Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes continue to build momentum around one of the most anticipated projects of their current Hollywood trajectory. The actors appeared at CinemaCon 2026 to showcase new footage from ‘Masters of the Universe’, the upcoming live-action adaptation of the iconic He-Man franchise. The presentation took place on Wednesday 15 April at The Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Joining them on stage was director Travis Knight, who is leading this ambitious revival of the legendary universe for a new generation. Their appearance offered audiences a first glimpse into the film’s tone, which promises to blend large-scale spectacle with adventure and a deeper emotional core than many might expect.

During her remarks, Camila Mendes playfully teased that the film includes “so many muscles — more muscles than necessary,” before shifting the focus to what she described as the true heart of the story. Stripping away the visual grandeur, she explained, the narrative centres on a young man struggling with the feeling that he is not enough.
According to the official synopsis, ‘Masters of the Universe’ follows Prince Adam, portrayed by Nicholas Galitzine, as he returns to Eternia after being separated from the Sword of Power for fifteen years. Upon his return, he discovers a world left in ruins under the control of Skeletor, played by Jared Leto. In order to save his family and his kingdom, Adam must join forces with Teela, portrayed by Camila Mendes, and Duncan / Man-At-Arms, played by Idris Elba, ultimately embracing his destiny as He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe.
The cast further expands with notable names including Alison Brie, James Purefoy, Morena Baccarin, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, Charlotte Riley and Kristen Wiig, reinforcing the film’s ambition as a major fantasy and adventure release for the upcoming season.
With this early preview, ‘Masters of the Universe’ positions itself as more than a nostalgic reboot. Instead, it aims to reinterpret a beloved franchise through a modern cinematic lens, combining action, mythology and emotional storytelling in a way that resonates with both long-time fans and new audiences alike.
