‘Stranger Things’ fans keep pushing for a romance between Will and Mike, and Noah Schnapp has responded with humour and intrigue.

Noah Schnapp seems to be enjoying the frenzy stirred up by the most passionate Stranger Things fans — especially those hoping to see Will Byers and Mike Wheeler as a couple on screen. The fan theory, known as Byler, has been circulating online for years and gained even more traction after Will’s sexuality was confirmed in season four.

The 21-year-old actor posted a TikTok this week responding directly to the fans’ eternal question: “Is Byler going to happen or not?” With a knowing smile, Schnapp said: “It’s probably the most repeated comment on all my nightly videos. And I always ignore it.”

But the juiciest hint came a few days earlier, when he uploaded another video featuring Tiffany’s song ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’, captioned: “This song will be in season 5… I wonder why.” Is he teasing that Will might finally get his own love story?

So far, the series has only shown Mike in love with Eleven (played by Millie Bobby Brown), making a Byler romance seem unlikely — though not entirely impossible.

The fifth and final season of ‘Stranger Things’ will be released in volumes, with the first part premiering on 26 November. Until then, the fan theories are only multiplying.
