After releasing an official teaser for ‘Parasyte: The Grey’ earlier this month, Netflix now unveils the full official trailer of this upcoming South Korean science fiction thriller.
A contemporary interpretation of Hitoshi Iwaaki’s popular manga ‘Parasyte’, the series sets the scene in South Korea and will feature a new set of characters and adventures. Directing this new adaptation is Yeon Sang-ho, a veteran with an eye for creating post-apocalyptic zombie thrillers like ‘Hellbound’ and ‘Train to Busan’.
In an official press release from Netflix, director Yeon mentioned that the original manga has influenced his entire filmography. Iwaaki, the creator of the manga, also apologized for how the production team has “greatly respected the original work.” “I could see creative branches and unique ideas throughout the series and enjoyed it as much as the original author as a true ‘viewer’. The development of the plot in each episode is dynamic with a fast pace that makes it very entertaining,” he adds.
‘Parasyte: The Grey’ will exclusively premiere on Netflix on April 4th.
