Parmigiani Fleurier launches the ‘Tonda PF Xiali Chinese Calendar’ in rose gold, celebrating the ‘Lunar New Year’ with luxury, sophistication, and cultural details.
Parmigiani Fleurier presents a new version of its ‘Tonda PF Xiali Chinese Calendar’ watch in rose gold, just in time for the ‘Lunar New Year.’ This edition, set to be released on 29th January, celebrates the start of the ‘Year of the Wood Snake.’ In 2023, the Swiss brand debuted this model in stainless steel, but now it elevates it with an elegant 18-carat rose gold finish.
The 42mm case features a knurled bezel that complements its sophisticated design. The dial, in a deep imperial red tone, showcases a guilloché pattern that enhances its beauty. Surrounding the hour markers are the 24 solar terms, representing the phases of the Chinese agricultural calendar, adding cultural significance to the design.
At the 12 o’clock position, a three-level subdial displays the name of the year, its zodiac animal, and its element, while the subdial at 9 o’clock presents the 12 months in Chinese characters. At 3 o’clock, another subdial indicates the day and whether it is a long or short date, and at 6 o’clock, a moon phase indicator adds functionality and elegance.
The sapphire caseback reveals the PF008 movement, finished with ‘Côtes de Genève’ and a skeletonised rose gold oscillating weight.
