Pedro Pascal opens up about his romantic life, thoughts on parenthood, and a rather awkward compliment he received in public that caught him off guard.
Is Pedro Pascal Really as Private as He Seems? The Chilean-American actor has finally spoken candidly about his personal life, his feelings on having children (or not), and an uncomfortable live moment during an awards show in 2024.
“I’m Not as Private as People Think”
Over the years, Pedro Pascal has often been seen as something of an enigma off-screen. However, in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, ‘The Last of Us‘ and ‘The Mandaloria‘ star challenged that perception.
“I’m always puzzled when people describe me as ‘very private’, because that’s the opposite of who I am,” Pascal said. “I’m actually very open in my private life — it’s just that I know personal relationships are too complicated to live out under a microscope.”
Many fans have wondered whether the actor intends to start a family. While he admitted it’s not a major priority for him, his words revealed a certain tenderness. “I’ve never felt a strong urge to have children,” he confessed. “But I have dreamt of taking my kids to the cinema the way my parents used to take me. I suppose I want a shortcut to an interesting human being who’ll watch films with me.”
At the 2024 Critics’ Choice Awards, Pascal appeared with his arm in a sling due to an injury, but that didn’t stop host Chelsea Handler from giving him a bold compliment: “2023 was the year everyone went wild for Pedro Pascal,” she said in front of millions. But Pascal himself didn’t quite agree with the label.
“I was in a sling, overweight, and when the camera panned to me, I thought nothing could be further from the truth,” he joked.
Is Pedro Pascal Really as Kind as He Seems?
Even his sister has been asked that question. According to those close to him, Pascal’s warmth and kindness aren’t an act — they’re genuinely part of who he is.
