Saucony is relaunching the iconic Trainer 80, blending nostalgia and modernity in a campaign that pays tribute to creativity and running in London.

The renowned running brand has reissued its classic Trainer 80 with a special homage to London’s vibrant culture. For this relaunch, Saucony has joined forces with Balamii, the influential community radio station, and Your Friendly Runners, a community that promotes running as a lifestyle.

Beyond running, Saucony has become a symbol of creative connection, integrating elements of fashion, design, art, and music. Originally launched in 1978, the Trainer 80 was revolutionary for eliminating the cardboard layer between the sole and the upper, providing a more comfortable and responsive stride. Now, this silhouette returns with its unmistakable retro aesthetic and modern touches while maintaining its innovative essence.

Under the direction of Joe Howat, the campaign features key figures from both communities, including CKTRL, Goya Gumbani, and George Riley from Balamii, as well as Oliver Hooson and Alice Davies from Your Friendly Runners. The Trainer 80 is now available at saucony.com and selected stores, in a colour palette that balances classic and contemporary tones. Undoubtedly, this launch unites past, present, and future with a dynamic and authentic spirit.
