The highly anticipated second season will premiere on 13 April.
Max is gearing up for a 2025 filled with major returns. Following the recent release of the third season of ‘The White Lotus‘, fans can now mark another key date on their calendars: on 13 April, the second season of ‘The Last of Us‘ will hit our screens.
This new instalment of the acclaimed series, based on Neil Druckmann’s beloved video game, takes place five years after the events of the first season. Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey) will face new challenges in an increasingly hostile world, while their relationship is put to the test amidst a conflict that will change everything.
One of the major focal points this season will be Abby, a key character in the story, played by Kaitlyn Dever. Her presence is expected to spark intense discussions among fans of ‘Naughty Dog’s‘ PlayStation game. Alongside the return of Gabriel Luna as Tommy and Rutina Wesley as Maria, several new cast members join the show, including Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, and Tati Gabrielle as Nora, among others.
Unlike the first season, which had nine episodes, this second instalment will be shorter, consisting of only seven episodes. However, the story is far from over. According to the show’s creators, Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin, the second game’s storyline is so vast that it will be split into two seasons.
