Skims acquires SKKN by Kim, expanding its presence in beauty and skincare, with plans for 2026.
Skims, the successful shapewear and fashion brand created by Kim Kardashian, has taken an important step in its expansion by acquiring SKKN by Kim, the skincare line launched by Kardashian in 2022. This deal involves the transfer of Kardashian’s 80% stake in SKKN, as well as the 20% that Coty held in the brand. With this acquisition, Skims is poised to expand its presence in the beauty, skincare, and fragrance sectors, with plans to launch its first product line in 2026.
Kim Kardashian, who remains the largest shareholder in Skims, has expressed her excitement about bringing all of her brands under one name, which will help consolidate her vision of creating products that are not only functional but also empower users. For its part, Coty, which has been a strategic partner to Kardashian in her beauty ventures, will continue its collaboration with Kylie Cosmetics, another key brand in the Kardashian-Jenner family.
Skims, valued at $4 billion in 2023, continues to rise, solidifying its position as one of the most innovative and fastest-growing brands in the fashion and beauty market.
