In a recent interview with Empire, Sydney Sweeney shared some hints about what fans can expect in this new phase, highlighting the evolution of her character, Cassie Howard.
“I have a very special place in my heart for Cassie. She’s completely mad. She makes so many mistakes and she’s incredibly flawed, but everything she does comes from a place of love—even if it’s a sad kind of love,” Sweeney admitted. She also noted that working with Sam Levinson allows her to push her character to unexpected limits: “I read the script, call him and say, ‘Let’s make it even crazier.’ And he’s like, ‘I’m in.’ This season is just overflowing.”
When asked whether this new instalment would be even more chaotic, Sydney Sweeney burst out laughing: “Yes.”
