The incident occurred during a celebratory moment. In the video shared by the official Golden Globes TikTok account, Moore is seen warmly embracing Elle Fanning at their table. While the two were chatting, Jenner—partner of Timothée Chalamet, Fanning’s co-star in A Complete Unknown—approached Moore to congratulate her on winning Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for her role in The Substance. Moore, however, appeared to glance briefly at Jenner before resuming her conversation with Fanning.

The video led to a storm of criticism and speculation on social media, with many accusing Moore of deliberately ignoring Jenner. But Tallulah Willis, the youngest daughter of Moore and Bruce Willis, was quick to defend her mother.

“Hi everyone, but especially the press: I’m going to shut this down right now,” wrote Tallulah in her Instagram Stories. “We spent New Year’s with Elle, so reconnecting with her after such a huge win was completely natural. This angel [Elle] was in total shock and happiness as everyone in the room congratulated her.”

Willis also clarified that there was no intentional snub from her mother towards The Kardashians star. “There was absolutely no snub. If my mum had realised Kylie wanted to congratulate her, she would’ve given her all the time and attention in the world. Literally, give her a break and let her enjoy her achievements!” she concluded.

Demi Moore’s Victory and Family Support

The Golden Globes ceremony was a milestone moment for Moore, who won the first major award of her career. Her performance in the body horror film The Substance, directed by Coralie Fargeat, was widely praised by critics. During her acceptance speech, Moore revealed that she had considered stepping away from acting in recent years due to a lack of meaningful roles.

“I’ve been doing this for over 45 years, and this is the first time I’ve ever won something as an actress,” an emotional Moore admitted. She also shared how a disparaging comment from a producer three decades ago made her believe she would never be recognised in the industry. “The universe told me, ‘You’re not done yet,’” she said, thanking the transformative role she found in The Substance.

After the win, her daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah celebrated the achievement from home. A video shared on social media showed the three sisters jumping with joy in front of the TV as their mother’s name was announced. Rumer, who was holding her one-year-old daughter, Louetta, also joined in the cheers of excitement.

Emma Heming Willis, Bruce Willis’s wife, also congratulated Moore on social media. “We’re screaming over here! Congratulations @demimoore,” she wrote, sharing a clip of the award announcement.
