The North Face commemorates 40 years of its iconic Mountain Jacket with a refreshed collection and a campaign featuring British singer Griff.
Originally launched in 1985 and designed by Ingrid Harshbarger, the jacket became a staple for climbers and skiers due to its weather protection. Over the years, it has evolved with innovative technologies such as Gore-Tex and Futurelight.
For 2025, the Mountain Jacket will be available in two versions: one in waterproof Gore-Tex with alpine pockets priced at £450, and another in DryVent Mono, a recycled fabric with sealed seams, priced at £250. Both versions feature adjustable hoods, cuffs, and hems, as well as compatibility with the Retro Denali Jacket.

In the 1990s, the jacket became a symbol of streetwear and was worn by artists such as LL Cool J and A$AP Rocky, maintaining its status as a fashion icon. For this celebration, The North Face has chosen Griff, who expressed her excitement about being part of the global campaign.
The collection will be available from Tuesday on the brand’s website and in selected stores.
