Dubai isn’t just a holiday – it’s an experience. A place where luxury, culture and pure adrenaline come together in a city that genuinely has it all.
There are destinations that impress you… and then there’s Dubai. From the moment you step off the plane, you realise this place is on another level. The airport alone feels like it’s from the future – Rolex clocks on the walls, staff treating you like a VIP. It’s not an exaggeration – everything in Dubai is designed to make you feel special from the get-go.

What hits you first is how effortless everything is for visitors. Getting around is a breeze, public transport is spot on, and even from the car, the skyline is something else – all futuristic buildings and neon lights. I stayed at Mama Shelter, and honestly, it felt like I’d walked into a high-fashion photoshoot. The design was bold and colourful, with massive windows offering stunning views over the city. And the service? Absolutely first-class.

But Dubai isn’t just glitz and glamour. There’s a more authentic side too. Take a stroll through Old Dubai and its markets, and you’ll see a completely different vibe – more cultural, more down-to-earth. The locals are warm and welcoming, the pace is slower, and the food? Just wow. Everything tastes fresh and balanced, and even if you’re not used to spices, no stress – it’s all carefully done. The food scene here is something else.

If you fancy treating yourself to a proper foodie moment, don’t miss CÉ LA VI Dubai. It’s been in the MICHELIN Guide since 2022 and sits over 220 metres up, with unreal views of the Burj Khalifa. The infinity pool is pure Instagram gold, and the sushi rice risotto with black truffle? Absolute perfection. Ideal for a special dinner or drinks at the SkyBar – great music, great vibes.

Prefer something a bit more high-energy? Fuego, at Atlantis The Palm, is a must. It’s a Latin American restaurant bursting with life – think tango, acrobats, fire shows, live music… even the waiters get involved and sing. It’s non-stop entertainment with amazing food and full-on party vibes. You won’t want to leave.

And if you’re all about the thrill factor, you have to check out Sky Views Observatory. It’s got 360º views of the city, a glass walkway 219 metres above the ground, a transparent slide down the side of the building, and the Edge Walk – where you walk hands-free along the edge with the Burj Khalifa right behind you. It’s bonkers – and brilliant.

Dubai isn’t just luxury. It’s adventure. It’s flavour. It’s proper culture. It’s one of those trips you’ll talk about for years.
So… are you still going to watch it all on Instagram stories, or is it finally time to go make some of your own?
