Timothée Chalamet dazzles with his renditions of Bob Dylan in ‘A Complete Unknown’, showcasing his vocal talent alongside Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez.

Timothée Chalamet has surprised fans by releasing his versions of ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ and ‘The Girl From the North Country’, both performances featured in the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown.

In ‘Like a Rolling Stone’, Chalamet captures the raw energy of the original 1965 recording, while in ‘The Girl From the North Country’, he shares the spotlight with Monica Barbaro, who plays Joan Baez in the film. The chemistry between the two is palpable, particularly in this version inspired by Dylan’s 1963 recording.

James Mangold, the film’s director, highlighted the actors’ commitment: “There was only one way to make this movie: cast actors talented and brave enough to embody the artists they portray.”

The cast also includes Edward Norton, Elle Fanning, and Boyd Holbrook. The film covers the pivotal years between 1961 and 1965, including Dylan’s controversial electric performance at the Newport Folk Festival.

Dylan himself publicly praised Chalamet: “Timmy is a brilliant actor, and I’m sure he’ll be completely convincing as me.” A Complete Unknown hits cinemas on December 25.
