Timothée Chalamet shines at the premiere of ‘Wonka’ in a magenta Tom Ford suit and a dazzling Cartier necklace.
Charismatic actor Timothée Chalamet, portraying the iconic Willy Wonka in the film ‘Wonka,’ left everyone in awe at the world premiere in London. The 27-year-old Chalamet defied fashion conventions with a striking magenta Tom Ford suit, taken from the Spring/Summer 2024 women’s collection, offering a bold twist to the classic Wonka style.
The standout element of the ensemble was the exclusive Cartier necklace adorning his neck. Custom-designed, the necklace comprised 964 emeralds, rubelites, pink tourmalines, and blue opals, set in a white gold base that housed nearly 1,000 gemstones. This dazzling accessory, a result of a collaboration with creative director of jewelry and watchmaking Marie-Laure Cérède, required 450 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.

Chalamet, a Cartier ambassador, shared his excitement with British Vogue, describing the necklace as “beyond anything I could have dreamt of.” This treasure won’t be confined to the premiere; it will be part of the Cartier Collection and travel to jewelry exhibitions worldwide.
The actor, renowned for his avant-garde style, also revealed a daring touch by wearing nothing underneath his jacket and completing the look with chocolate-toned Chelsea boots. With his bold fashion choices and performance in ‘Wonka,’ Timothée Chalamet continues to solidify himself as an innovative force in the entertainment and fashion industry.
