Vanessa Seward is appointed creative director of Begg x Co, where she will debut with a cashmere capsule for autumn 2025, ahead of her spring 2026 collection.

The Scottish cashmere brand Begg x Co has appointed Vanessa Seward as its new creative director. The designer, known for her elegant and sophisticated approach, will debut with a capsule collection for women, men, and home for autumn 2025, before presenting her first full collection for spring 2026.

Bruno Guillon, CEO of Alex Begg, the parent company of the brand, expressed his excitement about Seward’s arrival, highlighting that her values align perfectly with those of the brand. Seward, based in Paris, has shown enthusiasm for working closely with the brand’s fabric and knitwear workshops, noting that this direct collaboration with artisans allows her to create fashion in the way she has always dreamed.

The designer plans to leverage Begg x Co’s expertise to create timeless pieces, with a focus on cashmere and flattering colours. Additionally, Seward is excited about venturing into home goods design, a new challenge that will mark her debut in this category.

This new role also marks her return to the fashion world after a period focused on her career as a painter.
