For Y/Project fans, this collaboration comes as an unexpected surprise, marking the brand’s unforeseen return following its permanent closure earlier this year.
After two years in development, Heaven by Marc Jacobs revives the spirit of Y/Project with a rebellious streetwear collection that pays tribute to the Parisian label’s subversive essence.

The collection, set to launch online on 25 March, was designed before Glenn Martens stepped down as creative director, making it one of his final projects for the brand before fully dedicating himself to Maison Margiela.Y/Project’s fate took a downturn after the passing of its owner, Gilles Elalouf, in June last year. Uncertainty led to the cancellation of its Paris Fashion Week show and an unsuccessful attempt to sell the label in October. Ultimately, the brand officially shut down in January.

Now, Heaven by Marc Jacobs honours Y/Project’s legacy with a collection that encapsulates its experimental nature. The campaign, featuring Ken Carson and Alana Champion, blends both brands’ aesthetics with statement pieces such as dual-logo hoodies, daring knitwear, and distorted denim silhouettes, including extra-long-sleeved jackets and uniquely structured trousers. This collaboration serves as a final tribute to the radical creativity that defined Y/Project, giving its loyal followers a farewell worthy of its legacy.
